Great Product! |

This vastly improved the throttle response of my 2006 GT! Made the car feel like new again. You can feel the extra 15-20 horses, and it looks great under the hood. This is standard on the bullitt - throw on and xpipe and the handling package and hour setup basically the same as the bullitt and the Shelby GT.
Also the Procal will let you change tire size and final drive ratio so you can use it for more than just the CAI. I'm assuming you could also get a new tune put on the SD card if you made other upgrades that needed a tune.
Don't forget that this is one of the few that doesn't void the warrenty (if you have one). It may not give the most horses, but you can rest easy knowing that ford racing did the testing on this intake solely for your mustang.

This is the way to go if you plan on keeping your current engine without destroying it with those aftermarket tunes. Had a very bad experience with one of the well known aftermarket tuners and will never trust those clowns that claim they know what they are doing with mustangs. I cant believe those clowns that do aftermarket tunes are still in business. They could not even set the correct fan speed and on/off temperature correctly, not to mention the scarry pre-detination that they had no idea how to solve. I would also like to say that Ford Racing Parts Direct is so far the best online store i have purchased parts for my mustang to date. Thanks for the great service!

Cold Air Kit with ProCal |

Basically, this is the '08 Bullit setup. (Designed by Steeda?) First mod on my car and so far I like it. Went with the 93 Octane ProCal tune from Ford instead of the Diablo or SCT after reading the warnings from Ford about aftermarket tuners and exaggerated horsepower gains on their dynos. They can squeeze a little more power out of the engine than the ProCal by overriding the rev limiter and ignoring the temperature sensors from the catalytic converters. If your comfortable with that, go for it. Personally I'd rather have long term reliability. Once you get the kit, you register online with a code, VIN and serial # off your computer, then they ship tuner after. Tuning data is on a media card. You can't see the computer number, you'll have to unplug it and slide it out. FRPP claims this kit adds 20 horsepower. I did notice a bit better throttle response in the middle RPM range where I do 99% of my driving. Don't expect miracles, but it is slightly better. Looks way cooler too.
