The new supercharger is Ford Racing's first power upgrade component for the new 5.0 engine.
It
was developed by Ford Racing engineers, in close collaboration with
Ford Motor Company's powertrain engineers, Team Mustang, and key
partners in Roush and Whipple.

Production calibration for the 5.0 engine took 19 months. Having that knowledge base to work from is a huge advantage."

This supercharger comes as a complete package, and it's available in three levels: a
525 hp kit with a 12/12 engine warranty;
a 624 hp kit (with no warranty) and a tuner kit (with no warranty) for
racing and extreme enthusiasts. The tuner kit is a component kit for
projects where further modification to the setup is planned and custom
tuning will be used for proper calibration. The Ford Racing calibration
is not supplied in the tuner kit. Each of these impressive kits gives

With
years of OEM and racing experience, Whipple and Ford engineers have
developed a unique PCM calibration that reconfigures all the necessary
engine functions including fuel, spark, knock detection, torque
management, transmission control and electronic throttle control. The
vehicles PCM constantly monitors the engines torque output while
monitoring many different parameters to keep the engine in it's ideal
parameters. If a parameter falls below specification, the PCM will lower
boost and torque output until the problem can be cured. No other
calibration in the field has such technology, giving the Whipple-FRPP SC
system unheralded performance and reliability.

- Produces 624 SAE HP @ 6900 RPM and 536 SAE lb-ft. @ 4700 RPM with 91/93 octane gas at approximately 9 psi of boost

This belt system drives the supercharger and A/C only. The alternator
and water pump is driven by a separate belt. Power steering is electric
and does not have a pulley.
